From Hogwarts to Space and Space to Hollywood.

Earning the recognition of experts in the world of cinema and the admiration of the Mexican people for putting on high the name of our country in the cinematographic world; Alfonso Cuarón turned into the first Mexican director to win an Oscar by the hand of his great creativity, passion, and work have led him to obtain great triumphs throughout his career.

A dream, a child's fantasy

Since he was an infant, Alfonso Cuarón had an illusion, something that begins in the imagination of any child, being someone successful involved in the world of cinema. It all started the day he was presented with his first camera at age 12 with which he made his first films. After a series of short films and feature films, it was that it attracted the attention and the reflectors of people directly related to Hollywood, lands that only movie greats get to tread; where he was invited to work in the United States, which he accepted without hesitation, thus taking a big step in his career.

As the time went by, it was where he began to interact with important people in the environment, people with economic power and people with the experience that the filmmaker involves; some names that come out are: Guillermo del Toro, which he met after a chance on a recording set, a chance he will never forget; Alejandro González Iñárritu, who together with the previous one and the protagonist of the story form the group of "Los Tres Amigos del Cine" or "Los Compadres"; great actors such as Gael García Bernal, Diego Luna, Maribel Verdú; powerful businessmen like Jorge Vergara, among others. Relationships arrived and Cuarón began to be known on big screens, however, at what point was the growth of Alfonso Cuarón marked exponentially?

Magic in Cuarón’s Life

After his beginnings in the lands of the great filmmakers, Cuarón had a regular performance with certain projects such as: "Addicted to Love" and "La Princesita", until the day he receives that call expected by any film director, was Warner Brothers , who offered to direct the third film of the Harry Potter books entitled "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban" since JK Rowling had been fascinated by his previous work in "The Little Princess" thus assigning him the role of director in which the moment was his highest-grossing film, putting his name in everyone's mouth.

As in any other field, when exploring new projects, the person feels nervous about failing or of facing things never before seen; which was the case of Cuarón, however when reading the script of that film he was fascinated and accepted the great challenge, which was a success since without knowing the history of future episodes of the saga, it was impressive the way in which he connected his ideas with the plot that any viewer and even Alfonso Cuarón experienced chills through the clues given to future books.

Undoubtedly, they were two years of exciting recording, in which Cuarón did not want to leave aside the stamp that characterizes him, the country he represents, the flash of the Mexican people, in the film he made certain adaptations in which he can appreciate features of the Mexican culture; for example: the use of sugar skulls that he ordered from Mexico, the emblematic and traditional songs hummed by Dumbledore and Hermione and even the representation of the Mexican national shield in a discreet way; making clear the love for his native country and the ability to include his nationalist feelings in his work of great quality. An experience that personally it made me feel emotions that combined with magic and effects filled my eyes with astonishment, but seeing my Mexico represented in his work, got my heart with admiration and love for his work.

A space in the golden history

After the magnificent box office splendor in "Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban", Cuarón took a few years to continue working on what he loved, he collaborated with his "compadres" in some films with names like Del Toro, García Bernal, Iñárritu, Luna, among others; with whom he shared transitional projects until the moment that would start the stardom.

In 2010 he began writing the script made by himself and his son Jonás Cuarón, a science fiction story where space, astronauts, missions, and failures would be combined to make it a future winner of 7 oscars, where Alfonso Cuarón was credited with the Oscar as best director and as the film with the best editing, among others; thus shaping his place in the history of Mexican cinema as he would become the first Mexican to win an Oscar, thus capturing his place in Hollywood and attaching his name to the word "pride" for us Mexicans.

Cuarón, an example for Mexicans

A series of complete successes that would mark his career, which determined the transition between a common actor and an actor that leaves a mark for history; what began as a simple illusion of a 12-year-old boy and ended up as the first Mexican director to win an Oscar. Alfonso is an example of overcoming, effort and dedication that distinguishes Mexicans, the idol of future filmmakers who nowadays live or are forming their dream, maybe today you can be recording your friends in the patio of your house; tomorrow you will be on a red carpet, being recognized by the whole world, where his legacy now at days is being captured by future proud mexicans.

Magic and gravity in real life.
Creativity emerges in many people, but without a doubt Alfonso Cuarón is one of the most creative people who look for heroes with his films and above all, he takes us to explore a world in outer space.
Do you think that magic and gravity go hand in hand? Undoubtedly, they do.
Alfonso Cuarón is one of the characters that clarify this doubt, since after his great successes in Gravity and Harry Potter, he exposes us a little about his life and his friendships around his career.

Cuarón began his career working in television in Mexico, both as a technician and as a director. He directed the critically acclaimed 2001 film Y Tu Mama Tambien, starring Diego Luna and Gael García Bernal.

According to an interview with Cuarón published in an article on the Internet, he mentions that one of his closest friends of the star of the industry is also Mexican filmmaker Guillermo del Toro. In fact, they are such friends that Cuarón took on the role of producer of the Oscar-winning film, Pan's Labyrinth, by Del Toro.

Dreams are often destroyed and judged by our loved ones, the family. Cuarón is no exception, the director's mother, six times nominated for an Oscar, did not support the idea of pursuing a career in film, so He studied philosophy in the morning and then attended a university specializing in cinema in the afternoon.

Cuarón is an evolutionist, something that the end of Gravity represented. He does not agree with creationism, that does not mean that he is against people who have faith, and he says: "People manifest their faith simply by contradicting scientific facts." I do not understand why people can not be so happy. and comfortable with their own beliefs and acceptable facts, I do not believe that any of the facts contradict the fundamentals of the faith. " In addition to that their films express great innovations and creations that they themselves developed during the production.
One of the most interesting things about Cuarón is that he confessed in his interview that he does not read much of what is written about him and, once he finishes making a movie, he will never see her again, no matter what happens.

Undoubtedly, Alfonso Cuarón is a magical character that inspires us to follow our dreams and do what we really like. His works and his life impact us and create that spell of appreciating him for what he does and for what he is. The gravity that exerts on all the bodies fills them with attraction towards the same end.

The amazing abilities and influence of Cuarón.
The Mexican have a lot of abilities and this are awesome, but he don’t know how to used them, but Alfonso Cuarón knew how to do it and know he is one of the greatest director not only in Mexico, in the world too.

Alfonso Cuarón had great influence in the work of "el chivo" Lubezky and this dream can see in the work of Iñarritu when you bought Birdman and the Revenant in which we can see the change of type of recording, in the revenant we see something more like Cuarón , because he had as director of image to Lubezky which influenced by Cuarón created a film very similar to one of Cuarón, gave him the influence of him.
In an interview with "The Three Compadres" Iñarritu and del Toro said that of the three Cuarón is the only one who can adapt to any type of genre without caring about anything, that's why he says he can direct a comedy film and its Next movie can be horror and it will still be good, because of its ease of adaptation

Cuarón uses a type of shot in which he takes the camera and records as if he were a person with his cell phone, so that the realism is seen in each image, at the same time he uses another technique in which he leaves the camera completely still and emphasizes the background rather than the character itself.

He was the first Mexican to win an Oscar for his film "Gravity" in this we can see that ease that characterizes him and how he gave life to so much green, his animation was the best he create amazing thing only using a computer, he recreate the space only with the computers, he did the best quality job using the space as main theme.
