Challenges in the movie of Alejandro Monteverde

Alejandro Monteverde: «Little Boy is a story for the elderly that gives us faith, hope, and love»
Alejandro Monteverde is one of the few Christian directors of the world, to which the page "Religion in freedom" decided to interview him in relation to his work as a believer of his faith, including questions as if it was a challenge to make this film as a Christian or what the three theological principles had to do with.
"Little Boy, an emotional film of faith and family was released in Spain on October 30, 2015, after its spring break in the United States and Mexico, where it was titled El gran pequeño. Eduardo Verástegui has put his money and inspiration into this story directed by Alejandro Gómez Monteverde, who has also scripted it, with Pepe Portillo as co-screenwriter. "
In this interview, they talk about the Little Boy movie, or as it is known in Mexico, the Great Little One. At the beginning of the interview, the interviewer decided to ask Alejandro Monteverde to compare the film of the Great Little with the movie Cristiada, to which he concludes that they are completely different films, of "two different genres and two different children". Then they ask him if it is the story of an absent father, to which he says no, that in this case he is a present father but he is in war since I teach him things, I spend quality time with him, phrases that are present with him, etc. ...
In this interview, they also ask him about the three theological virtues and whether recording a film about war is a challenge for a Christian filmmaker. Alejandro Monteverde has to analyze a lot, but he replies that faith, hope, and love are clearly present in the film, since they are shown in different ways throughout the film. To the second question he replies that it is not really a war movie, since many war scenes are not taught, far from it, history revolves around the child, not the father.
We can see that they presented a challenge in ideology in the films of Alejandro Monteverde but finally, we realize that he has been successful in his work, showing that dreams do come true, that if we really give our 100% we can move Mountains.

From the crabs to the stars of Hollywood

Hitting the rates weren’t so easy for a boy that at the age of 15 moved to Texas coming from Tampico. Alejandro Monteverde was known as a director with different thoughts. He is important for the Mexican cinematography because is the voice of millions of Mexicans around the world. With his movie Bella, he started to shine.
Alejandro Monteverde declares that it took him 5 years until his film, "Bella", was finally ready. Three years writing the script, one year trying to raise the money, and another year filming. He also says that what has changed most of his works is the tone. His feelings changed and that changed the messages that he wanted to give on his films. Since the first had a mature tone, but Little Boy is a story that changed this, he learned more about faith according to the situations that were presented to him.
In this film the power of faith is explored objectively, Little Boy has 2 mentors, one who believes in the faith of man and another in the faith of God. They respect each other and come together to help this child. For this reason, tolerance and acceptance are explored. He also talks about how much he struggled to hire Emily Watson:
"To recruit Emily Watson, I went to London because she's my favorite actress since Breaking the waves. My dream was to work with her and I wrote the script thinking about this interpreter. They sent it to him and I asked for an interview. He even accepted to come to Mexico and that at that time the country was experiencing such a great wave of violence that nobody wanted to come here. It was a dream come true. "
In my opinion, he has had a lot of impact on Latino society around the world. His way of making films and messages are unique and make the audience think seriously about what he is trying to convey. He is a director with many emotional changes and that is why his films are changing in the messages. Is a person who seeks to give an impact and a good image of Mexican film industry.

The beginning of a big crab in Hollywood
Monte verde made his way to where he is right now... but how? He had to work hard and for a long time. He broke his head day and night to get the ideas and contacts that he has now a days. Monte verde is simply great in a lot of aspects and how he made it through and how he once was the little crab in Hollywood. He is an incredible director to create stories, beginning with Bella that was always on his mind, when he was on his way to LA; Bella came to his mind like if someone was telling him the story from beginning to end. He told that when he was driving he had that inspiration, because he had a lot of time traveling and so many things were on his mind. Alejandro Monteverde with the movie of Bella was inspired by true events that never once seem to feature actual human behavior. Bella is a story about friendship, family and the capacity of love of a human being when we face unexpected events like the one of the movie, a footballer that had a pregnancy and was difficult for his career.  The movie is natural, with normal conversations, to first shot and freshness of a naturalist film. The way events were giving, also how the lives of the two protagonists were upside down for the pregnancy. He wanted to do a film were two ordinary people are protagonists, not famous people and that this can happen to whoever. It’s the kind of success story every film school student hopes and dreams about.
This film touched the hearts of many, more than anything because of the message that the film had and how the facts were represented. Even this movie won the People's Choice Awards which indicates that people liked the movie and the message in it. What Monteverde noted in his film is that anyone can go through an equal situation. He wanted to show that love that goes beyond romance, full of heart and soul. So with this movie we can see that Monteverde made a great work that won awards. He never stopped for what he wanted. Thanks to his performance I create a movie that was very successful. This gives us to understand that the Mexican films in Hollywood bring a very big impact to the American people. He also never stopped fighting and despite difficult times he got what he wanted and in the way he wanted, with success and with a message that had a great impact. It had an impact on Latinos in the United States and that was their main goal. Alejandro had to work hard and with several of his projects he had been recognized and impacted a lot of people with his messages in his movies. He worked hard for what he wanted and showed and proved people wrong. How? By working and not letting any one take away his dreams from him. He fought for what’s he wanted and that made the crab in Hollywood become what he is right now.
